What we build around

An agent can propose a test or a fix. The useful next question is what actually ran, what it checked, and what the result establishes.

Start with the behavior

A passing test matters when its assertions check the behavior people need. Requirements, business failures, and missing checks belong in the same conversation.

Make the evidence inspectable

Keep the executed assertion, terminal outcome, and run identity together. Show what failed and what passed, so an engineer can assess the result.

Keep fixes reviewable

Preserve test intent, isolate proposed changes, and run the relevant checks again. A useful repair comes with the patch and evidence that the original failure changed.

The hosted workspace brings test generation, execution, healing, and review into a shared workflow for teams. Projects, test cases, automation scripts, and execution artifacts stay connected.

9lives open-source runner

Run locally with ordinary Playwright tests and add opt-in agent workflows. Executed assertions and attributable receipts support the result. Local use does not require a QualityMax platform account.

The 9lives demo combines illustrations with recorded real runs: Agent actions, Playwright console logs, and a before-and-after fix. Experimental confirmation and fault-testing examples show what those specific runs established; they do not establish complete application coverage.

QualityMax grew from nearly two decades of hands-on quality engineering — from enterprise banking systems to fast-moving startups.

The tools have changed from manual testing to Selenium, Playwright, and AI coding agents. The engineering question remains: does this check exercise the behavior we care about, and can we explain the result? AI-assisted development makes that question more urgent.

Our mission is to make reliable testing easier to adopt and harder to mistake for proof it does not provide. Functional checks, security, usability, accessibility, and performance each need their own evidence and clear limits.

We build in public where we can. 9lives is our open-source local testing framework. qmax-code, our terminal QA agent, uses Apache-2.0. Our tool ecosystem also includes GitHub Actions, MCP servers, and CLI utilities.

Our founder's work spans banking, fintech, healthcare, and consumer products. That experience informs how we connect agent workflows with existing tests, CI pipelines, and engineering review.
